# ChargeMap (chargemap.buzz): Tesla Supercharger compatibility for every EV in the US and Canada Site data refreshed 2026-09-20 from supercharge.info. Vehicle data verified 2026-09-19 from manufacturer announcements. ChargeMap is independent and not affiliated with Tesla. ## Network snapshot - 3537 Supercharger sites in the US and Canada - 2538 open to non-Tesla EVs (72%) - 305 Magic Dock sites (built-in CCS1 adapter, any EV) - 994 sites with V4 posts - 999 Tesla-only V2 sites ## How compatibility works - Only Superchargers marked 'open to NACS partners' (V3, V3+ and V4 stalls with the Tesla app 'Charge Your Non-Tesla' flow) are usable by non-Tesla cars. Older V2 stalls are Tesla-only. A small number of V3 'Magic Dock' sites have a built-in CCS1 adapter and work for any CCS1 car regardless of brand agreement. - V3 and V3+ dispensers run roughly 400-500 V and top out at 250 kW. 800 V-class cars (Hyundai/Kia/Genesis E-GMP, Porsche Taycan/Macan, Audi Q6/A6 e-tron, Lucid, Mercedes CLA, Cadillac Escalade IQ/GMC Hummer/Silverado EV in some modes) charge slower there unless they have an on-board boost converter. V4 cabinets (500 kW, up to 1,000 V) started going live in September 2025 and remove that penalty. - V3 cables are short and sized for Tesla's rear-left port. Cars with a front or passenger-side port often have to park nose-in or across two stalls. V4 posts have longer cables. - Adapters: only a DC 'NACS-to-CCS1' adapter approved by the vehicle maker is covered by that maker's warranty; Tesla's app will still let unapproved adapters charge, but the OEM may deny warranty claims. AC 'J1772-to-NACS' adapters are a different product and are irrelevant for Superchargers. ## Brand by brand ### Acura - Access: live since 2025-07-22 - Adapter: Honda NACS-CCS DC Adapter ($225) - Page: https://chargemap.buzz/acura - ZDX (2024-2025): 2024-2025: CCS1 (Discontinued after MY2025.). https://chargemap.buzz/acura/zdx - Note: The native-NACS Acura RSX (due late 2026) was cancelled in March 2026. ### Audi - Access: live since 2025-09-09 - Adapter: Audi NACS DC Charging Adapter (8B3054411) ($200) - Page: https://chargemap.buzz/audi - e-tron / e-tron Sportback (2019-2023): 2019-2023: CCS1 (Adapter listed as compatible; program status for existing owners medium confidence.). https://chargemap.buzz/audi/e-tron - Q8 e-tron / Sportback (2024-2025): 2024-2025: CCS1. https://chargemap.buzz/audi/q8-e-tron - e-tron GT / RS e-tron GT (2022-2027): 2022-now: CCS1 (800 V (Taycan platform); only ~50 kW on V3 without the 150 kW booster option, full speed on V4.). https://chargemap.buzz/audi/e-tron-gt - Q4 e-tron / Sportback (2022-2027): 2022-now: CCS1 (Excluded from Supercharger access (MEB, VW-derived); no adapter approved as of 2026-09.). https://chargemap.buzz/audi/q4-e-tron - Q6 e-tron / SQ6 (2025-2027): 2025-now: CCS1 (Still CCS1 for MY2027. 800 V PPE: reduced speed on V3, fast on V4.). https://chargemap.buzz/audi/q6-e-tron - A6 Sportback e-tron (2025-2027): 2025-now: CCS1 (Still CCS1 for MY2027.). https://chargemap.buzz/audi/a6-e-tron - Note: No Audi sold in NA has a native NACS port as of MY2027. ### BMW - Access: live since 2025-12-10 - Adapter: Lectron Vortex Plus (BMW-approved) / BMW NACS DC Adapter ($175) - Page: https://chargemap.buzz/bmw - i3 (hatch) (2014-2021): 2014-2021: CCS1 (CCS1 was optional. Yes, in the US and Canada. Since 2024 Tesla has opened most V3 and V4 Superchargers to other brands through the Tesla app's "Charge Your Non-Tesla" flow. Roughly 7 in 10 Supercharger sites are open to non-Tesla EVs today. Older V2 sites remain Tesla-only. ChargeMap shows exactly which sites work for your specific car, model and year. ### Which car brands have Tesla Supercharger access? Live today: Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Rivian, Volvo, Polestar, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, Honda, Acura, Lucid, Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, BMW, MINI, Jaguar, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat and Maserati. Announced but not live: Rolls-Royce, Scout, Slate and Mitsubishi. No access program: Fisker, Mazda, VinFast and Lotus; those cars can only use Magic Dock sites. Vehicle data last verified 2026-09-19. ### What is NACS? NACS (North American Charging Standard, also called SAE J3400) is the Tesla connector, now an industry standard. Superchargers use NACS cables. Cars built with a NACS port plug straight in. Cars with a CCS1 port need a NACS-to-CCS1 DC adapter. Most 2025 and newer EVs from Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, GM, Rivian, Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Subaru and Mercedes are switching to a native NACS port. ### Do I need an adapter to use a Supercharger? If your car has a CCS1 port, yes: a DC NACS-to-CCS1 adapter approved by your car maker, typically $175 to $275. Some makers gave them free to early owners or include them with new cars. If your car has a native NACS port, no adapter is needed. At Magic Dock sites, nobody needs an adapter because the CCS1 adapter is built into the cable. Pick your car on ChargeMap to see which adapter applies and where you can skip it. ### What is a Tesla Magic Dock? A Magic Dock is a Supercharger stall with a built-in CCS1 adapter that unlocks when you start a session in the Tesla app. Any CCS1 EV can use one, even brands with no Supercharger agreement. There are around 300 Magic Dock sites in the US and Canada, shown in green on ChargeMap for CCS1 cars. ### How do I start a charge in a non-Tesla car? Download the Tesla app, create an account, tap "Charge Your Non-Tesla", add a payment card, then at the station select the site and stall number, plug in (attach your adapter first if needed) and tap Start. Charging begins within a few seconds. Tap Stop in the app when done. ### How much does Supercharging cost for a non-Tesla? Prices are per kWh and vary by site and time of day. Non-Tesla drivers pay a higher rate than Tesla owners. Tesla sells an optional monthly Supercharging membership that brings the rate down to Tesla-owner pricing, which pays off if you Supercharge a few times a month. The exact price for each site is shown in the Tesla app before you start. ### Why does my car charge slowly at some Superchargers? V3 Superchargers run at about 400 to 500 volts and top out at 250 kW. Cars with 800-volt batteries (Hyundai Ioniq 5 and 6, Kia EV6 and EV9, Genesis, Porsche Taycan and Macan, Audi Q6 and A6 e-tron, Lucid Air, Mercedes CLA) charge well below their peak there, often 50 to 125 kW. V4 Superchargers, rolling out since late 2025, deliver up to 1,000 volts and 500 kW and remove that penalty. ChargeMap shows the hardware generation for each site. ### Why are some Superchargers marked Tesla only? They use older V2 hardware with the original Tesla connector and cannot authenticate non-Tesla cars. Tesla is gradually replacing or expanding these sites. Around 1,000 V2-only sites remain in the US and Canada; ChargeMap shows them in grey. ### My charge port is on the front or passenger side. Will the cable reach? Sometimes not. V3 cables are short and sized for Tesla's rear-left port. Many non-Tesla drivers park nose-in or take the end stall so the cable reaches; be considerate and avoid blocking two stalls. V4 posts have longer cables that reach any port position. ### Can I use Tesla Destination Chargers in a non-Tesla? Destination Chargers are Level 2 AC Tesla Wall Connectors at hotels and restaurants. They are not Superchargers and your DC adapter will not work on them. Many are open to other EVs with a separate AC NACS-to-J1772 adapter. ChargeMap covers Superchargers only. ### Does ChargeMap cover Europe or other regions? Not yet. ChargeMap covers the US and Canada, where the NACS adapter question exists. In Europe every Supercharger already uses the CCS2 connector, and access is simply on or off per site. ### Where does the data come from and how accurate is it? Supercharger locations, stall counts, hardware generation and open-to-non-Tesla status come from supercharge.info, a community database that tracks the network daily; ChargeMap refreshes it every 12 hours. Vehicle access, port types and adapter details are curated by hand from manufacturer press releases and cited in the project. Tesla can change site access at any time, so always confirm in the Tesla app before you rely on a site. ChargeMap is an independent project, not affiliated with Tesla or any car maker. ## Guides - [How to charge a non-Tesla at a Tesla Supercharger, step by step](https://chargemap.buzz/guides/how-to-charge-a-non-tesla-at-a-supercharger): Download the Tesla app, pick the stall, plug in, tap Start.
